Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active RN license and ACLS/PALS certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• 0.8 FTE

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members
• Comfort with computer systems and applications or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for ED patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Promote a positive, healing environment through teamwork and communication
• First-time travelers may be considered given no experience requirement
