Description

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of nursing experience and psychiatric/behavioral health background across all age groups.

Details

• Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units, including children, adolescent, and adult populations
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 11:00-23:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Locked inpatient unit setting
• Uses Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR charting system
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across age populations as scheduling requires
• May be required to serve as charge RN during shifts

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required in-hand at time of consideration; temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• 6 months to 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred
• Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgement, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start
