Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist to support cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, requiring ARRT Radiography certification and an Associate's degree from a JRCERT accredited program.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a cardiac services department including Cath Lab, EP Lab, and CV Observation
- Services include diagnostic caths, angioplasty, interventions, ablations, device implants, TEEs, and cardioversions
- 3x12 hour day shifts with call requirements
- 0.9 FTE
Requirements
- Associate's degree from a JRCERT accredited Radiology Program
- ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) Radiography License required if applicable
- ~2 years of experience in a busier cath lab preferred
- Competency with interventional procedures such as thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart interventions
Additional Information
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including permanent pacemaker/ICD implantation
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring, IABP/Impella support, and arterial/venous sheath removals or closure devices
- Respond to procedural complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, and cardiac tamponade
- Practice radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles for all exams
- Perform and record quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Complete annual education and competency validations for unit-specific requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support quality patient care and efficient procedural workflow
