Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CPI and TNCC certification with a 12P-12A shift schedule.
Details
- Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department with 3 main areas: Rapid, Main, and POD 3 (psych safe area)
- Uses Vent, BiPAP, EKG, Art Lines, Belmont, and Chest Tubes equipment
- Performs procedures including port placement and chest tubes
- EMR system used is Meditech
- 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- Floating required to Brookside ED
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays required per 4-week schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, TNCC, and CPI (or accepted equivalent such as SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
- De-escalation course completion required
- Strong prioritizing and time management skills required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Missouri positions
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population across rapid, main, and psychiatric safe treatment areas
- Ideal candidates are patient-focused, detail-oriented, team players with a positive and coachable attitude
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- Holiday coverage required for 2 major and 2 minor holidays
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
