Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a high-paced, high-acuity rural ED requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a 205-bed hospital, the region's largest and most comprehensive ED plus a free-standing ED
• 20-bed unit caring for various patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4, increasing to 1:5 during surge conditions
• Uses Paragon EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6 week period
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• RN certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing required
• Peripheral IV, Stroke, SEPSIS, and STEMI experience preferred
• AHA certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

• Facility features the region's largest and most advanced ICU and PCU
• Scrub colors accepted include black, navy, and royal blue
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
