Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a high-paced, high-acuity rural ED requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department setting within a 205-bed hospital, the region's largest and most comprehensive ED plus a free-standing ED
- 20-bed unit caring for various patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
- Patient ratios of 1:4, increasing to 1:5 during surge conditions
- Uses Paragon EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6 week period
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- RN certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing required
- Peripheral IV, Stroke, SEPSIS, and STEMI experience preferred
- AHA certifications required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

- Duke LifePoint hospital that is Joint Commission accredited with an 'A' rating in LeapFrog Hospital Safety
- Facility features the region's largest and most advanced ICU and PCU
- Scrub colors accepted include black, navy, and royal blue
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
