Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 2+ years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and a KY or compact RN license for a surgical services position.
Details
- Surgical Services department providing OR nursing care
- Wide variety of surgical cases
- Uses Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule from 6:30am to 5:00pm, four 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call responsibilities of approximately 30 hours per 6 weeks
- Weekend coverage required approximately once every 10 weeks
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care OR RN experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the OR
- Supervises and mentors licensed and non-licensed staff members
- Provides patient and family education throughout the surgical care process
- Participates in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care needs
