Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for an invasive cardiology unit with 2+ years experience and required EPIC charting proficiency.
Details
- Invasive Cardiology unit with 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 dedicated Electrophysiology labs, plus 23 prep/recovery bays
- Unit completes over 6,000 procedures per year
- Procedures include complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant and explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy
- 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Weekend shifts as needed
- Call requirements may apply
- Floating as needed
- No holidays required
- Must be willing to stay until last patient is cared for
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab/EP required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT/RCIS certification preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, cardiac stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with vascular closure systems, temporary pacemaker insertion, and scrub/circulator procedural duties
- Preferred experience with TAVR, Watchman, ECMO, IABP, Impella, PA line insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
- Must be able to maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set-up, EKG lead placement, prep access site, accurate patient monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- May care for COVID-positive patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
- First-time travelers may be considered
