Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg/Ortho experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit with 34 beds and 50 staff
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Uses traction equipment for orthopedic patients
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7A to 7P
• Typical procedures include total joint replacements and spine surgeries

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg/Ortho experience required
• Familiarity with traction and spine, hip, and joint precautions preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
