Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Provide close monitoring and care for patients immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia
• Night shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings per RN scope of practice and hospital policy
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Facilitate patient discharge processes and coordinate with case management
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Provide patient and family education tailored to culture, age, and developmental level
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
