Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of recent ED experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County
• Chest pain and primary stroke center handling daily volumes of around 120 patients
• Cares for some inpatient boarders but will not float out of the unit
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 as needed
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week
• Up to 3 weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) per pay period
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active KS or Multi-State compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience within the last 12 months required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Conscious Sedation Competency certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable handling inpatient boarders and adaptable to rapidly changing conditions
• Self-motivated, team-oriented individuals with a positive attitude preferred
• Holiday coverage required for one holiday from each group: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year's Eve or Day
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus
• Accepts local and travel candidates at the same bill rate
