Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with skilled home care and infusion experience for a day-shift assignment requiring FL or compact licensure.

Details

• Provides skilled home health nursing visits to patients covered by Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
• Completes 6-8 home skilled visits per day
• Schedule may vary based on office needs, including Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, or Thurs-Mon/Fri-Tues rotations
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
• Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
• Provided with laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer for field work

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact license required at time of submittal
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health care experience required
• Private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted
• OASIS training and experience required
• IV skills and wound care experience required
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Post-op care experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle to conduct home visits
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have exemption on file
• Must have flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing if declined

Additional Information

• Performs cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care
• Manages ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressings, and Pleurx/Aseptdrain care
• Performs foley catheter changes and care, staple/suture removal, and glucometer use
• Utilizes pro-time machine and administers SQ/IM injections
• Performs lab draw venipuncture and IV skills including PICC line or midline care and dressing changes
• Manages SQ port access/deaccess
• Must wear solid color scrubs of any color
• Smoke-free facility
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• May float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to any BayCare facility as a traveler
• Return travelers limited to specific specialties (ICU, MICU, CVICU, ED, PCU, MS/Tele) and must have completed a contract within the last year since 7/1/2022
• No RTO allowed during contract per BayCare policy
• First-time travelers with skilled home care experience will be considered
