Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma center, requiring ARRT CT certification and 2+ years of CT experience.
Details
- Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital setting with high complexity cases
- All Siemens CT scanners used throughout the department
- Outpatient and inpatient work setting
- Night shift, 4x10 hours, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM with rotating days off
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification required (license required if applicable)
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Level I trauma or large hospital setting experience preferred
- Siemens scanner experience preferred
- Experience with PACS and contrast media administration required
- IV starts, portables, and biopsy experience preferred
- Required CT procedure experience: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred CT procedure experience: aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a wide range of procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and vascular studies in a high-acuity trauma environment
- Facility is a large short-term acute care hospital with over 1,259 staffed beds
- Scrub colors accepted: black, red, or white
- First-time travelers accepted
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted within the 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week
- Local candidates not accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Standard travelers residing outside 75 miles may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break; Allied travelers may stay up to 12 months with a required 6-month break
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
- Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved
