Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of IR experience and conscious sedation skills.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
- Average daily census of 10-20 patients across 3 procedure rooms
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 0700-1730
- On-call requirement of 2-3 weekends per 13-week contract plus one weeknight per week
- May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
Requirements
- Active MN RN license (license in hand preferred; pending license accepted with Aya project application upon offer acceptance)
- Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- Required skills include circulating, conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery lines, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Minimum 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Documents required for consideration include date of birth, SSN, certification copies, Nursys verification, and RTO
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must have been gone at least 3 months from any prior perm staff or per diem role at this facility to be eligible
- RTO requests should ideally be limited to no more than 5 days
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies (with an exception for Radiology positions)
- Minnesota state fingerprinting requirement applies; candidates not near a LiveScan location may need to travel to complete this
- Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to starting the assignment
- References are not provided by the facility to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
