Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) night shift position requiring cardiology and cardiothoracic stepdown experience with OK or compact RN licensure.
Details
- IMC/MS stepdown unit specializing in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Unit also admits general MS and IMC status patients based on acuity
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
- 4:1 patient ratio based on safe staffing acuity matrix
- 16 staffed beds with an average daily census of 16
- Uses Epic charting system
- Floating required to sister facilities within scope and based on need
- No block scheduling accommodations available
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, EKG/Telemetry certification, and NIHSS required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Experience in IMC/MS stepdown cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery required
- Prior experience with 4:1 patient ratios required
- Pending state license not accepted
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address dated within the last 3 months required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide care to patients with conditions including CABG, femoral bypass, thoracotomy, VATS, CEA, STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF exacerbation, bradycardia, pacemaker management, dysrhythmias, and hemo/pneumothorax
- Care for pre-op and post-op day 1 cardiothoracic surgery patients and those requiring Cath Lab procedures
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
- Local candidates not accepted
- Maximum RTO of 5 days accepted for the assignment, with no holidays or blackout dates permitted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former INTEGRIS Health permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for this travel assignment
