Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes chest pain, hip/knee surgery, altered mental status, small bowel obstruction, UTI, respiratory distress, pancreatitis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, CHF, sepsis, AKI, encephalopathy, ascites, COVID, and anemia
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Copies of required certifications must be available for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Max RTO of 7 days, with RTO requests required at time of submission
• No RTO can be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested and the traveler must work the holiday(s)
• If three major holidays occur during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval, with the traveler expected to work the other two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Returning travelers must be away from all facility locations for one full year before returning
• Full compliance is required to start on time
