Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and Epic charting exposure.
Details
- Med/Surg unit (7C Med Resp) in a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), three shifts per week, 36 hours weekly
- Rotating weekend and holiday shift requirements
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Reports and corrects safety hazards and incidents for patient and employee safety
- Offers constructive feedback and collaborates with peers for professional development
- Completes all departmental competency requirements
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year before returning
