Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Surgical Trauma unit at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the 6A Surgery Trauma unit of a Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic and paraplegic cases
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not typically approved

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced trauma cases required
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
• Certification card and Nursys license verification required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for complex trauma and surgical cases in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• No RTO permitted during assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
