Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Operating Room position requiring L&D OR circulating experience and current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit caring for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases
- Unit includes a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays
- Travelers will function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases
- Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
- 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE required
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Previous L&D operating room experience required
- Must be able to circulate for C-sections
- Must be able to triage for OB patients
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required
- BSN or MSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases
- Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on patient care planning and evaluation
- Participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities
