Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring WA/Compact RN licensure and multiple critical care certifications.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule: 1900-0730, 3x12s, 36 hrs/week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation

Requirements

• Active WA State or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Must adhere to facility policies and unit-specific standards of practice
• Knowledge of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and current legal aspects of nursing required

Additional Information

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures/treatments as needed
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
• Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a clean, safe care environment
