Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/swing bed unit, open to new graduates, with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
Details
- Inpatient and swing bed unit setting
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- Uses therapy-specific EMR for documentation
- Performs therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Applies taping techniques for movement stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- New graduates considered
- Experience with orthopedic and neurologic condition evaluation
- Skilled in range of motion, strength, and functional task performance testing
- Experience with clinical examination and documentation
- Experience supervising support personnel and students preferred
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care including transfers with attention to safe body mechanics
- Designs and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient goals and progress
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other providers using effective teaching methods
- Communicates regularly with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
- May supervise students and support personnel, providing regular feedback
- May complete an approved project and in-service training as part of clinical ladder requirements
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
- Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
