Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/swing bed setting, requiring a Physical Therapy degree and new graduates are welcome to apply.
Details
- Inpatient and swing bed unit within Therapy Services
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- No weekend, holiday, or floating requirements
- Documentation and charging completed in therapy EMR
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Illinois PT License required if applicable
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- New graduates considered
- Experience with orthopedic and neurologic condition evaluation
- Skilled in range of motion, strength, and functional task performance testing
- Experience with therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Experience with taping for movement stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition
Additional Information
- Evaluate patients for orthopedic and neurologic impairments and establish individualized plans of care
- Perform patient transfers safely using proper body mechanics
- Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and students using effective teaching methods
- Supervise support personnel and provide ongoing feedback per legal and ethical guidelines
- Complete annual clinical ladder requirements, including student supervision, project completion, and in-service training
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
- Open to first-time travelers
