Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with 3+ years of experience in general diagnostic, neuro, and vascular interventional radiology.
Details
- Hospital-based interventional radiology and special procedures unit
- 4x10 or 5x8 shift schedule available
- Rotating weekday and weekend call required
Requirements
- Completion of an AMA-sponsored School of Radiologic Technology
- Minimum 3 years experience as a radiology technologist
- ARRT Registration and/or RCIS required
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- License required if applicable
- Must comply with ARRT Rules and Regulations and ARRT Standards of Ethics
- Proficient in general diagnostic radiology and neuro/vascular interventional examinations
- PICC line placement certification a plus, performed under physician direction
- Experience with CR/PAC systems and RMS/SMS order entry
Additional Information
- Receive patients, explain procedures, and address patient questions or concerns
- Monitor and assist patients before, during, and after examinations
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary and transport patients as needed
- Serve as scrub technician for special procedures using sterile techniques
- Perform a variety of special imaging exams following established protocols
- Reconstruct, archive, and transfer images via CR/PAC systems
- Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications
- Assist radiologists during interventional imaging procedures
- Perform quality control and maintain required local, state, and federal records
- Care approach must reflect patient's age-specific needs across the lifespan
- Must live 100 miles from facility to be eligible for travel rate; local candidates within 50 miles may be considered
