Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma center, requiring 2+ years of Siemens experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- Level I Trauma center setting supporting adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, and pediatric acute care populations
- Performs CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and specialized procedures such as brain perfusion, CT arthrography, colonography, vascular CTA, and transplant studies
- Utilizes Siemens CT equipment and PACS imaging system
- Night shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday
- May float within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, though 2+ years of Siemens experience preferred
- ARRT (R)(CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
- Active VA or compact state license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Experience preparing and/or administering contrast media
- Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies across a variety of specialties including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal trauma
- Support adult, pediatric, and ICU patient populations as needed
- Facility maintains a natural nail policy
- ER candidates required to undergo fingerprinting per Virginia code, with 15-20 business day turnaround; candidates cannot start with pending results
- Facility verifies graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accepted)
- Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for one year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and are subject to manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
- Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace
