Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) for a night shift position at an acute care community hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and NH state licensure.
Details
- Acute care community hospital with 300 beds
- Works in ER, adult med/surg, and adult critical care units following RT-driven protocols
- Responsibilities include nebulizers, CPT, high flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, assisting with intubations and bronchoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house transport of ventilated patients
- Pediatric ER and pediatric patients only with demonstrated competency
- Continuous albuterol administration
- Not utilized in Level 3 NICU
- Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics, with neonatal experience preferred
- Night shift, 4x12 hours, 6:15p-6:45a
- 36 hours per week accepted
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Epic charting experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- NH state license required (license required if applicable)
- Must have an active state license in any state to qualify for a temporary NH license
- ACLS, PALS, CRTT, and RRT certifications preferred
- Trauma, community hospital, and adult ICU experience required
- Level I Trauma, teaching hospital, PICU, and acute care pediatric experience preferred
- Experience with airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer use, BiPAP, and CPAP required
- Bronchoscopy experience preferred
- Experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, and LTV 1200/HT70 equipment preferred
- Only AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted
- Background or license history requires facility approval prior to offer
- Drug screen must be completed within 14 days of start
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care within an RT-driven protocol environment
- Work alongside adult critical care and emergency department teams
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates who were previously employed at any facility within the health system will not be considered, regardless of separation length
- References required, with possible start pending second reference
- Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a reduced local rate
