Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for an adult to geriatric patient population, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Details

• Adult acute care and outpatient MRI setting
• Patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
• Every other weekend rotation required unless otherwise specified
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call requirements apply
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba systems
• Imaging includes abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head and neck, brain, face/soft tissue, and spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
• Performs diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction), multiplanar reconstruction, and perfusion studies

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Charting system experience required (any EMR)
• Proficiency in isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Skilled in special imaging procedures including diffusion, gradient echo, post-processing, MPR, and perfusion

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Pewter gray scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week
• Holiday coverage is required based on the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Former Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before rebooking
