Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging on a Canon CT system, requiring current MA licensure and BLS certification.
Details
- CT Scan department reporting to the Section Leader of CT
- Patient population ranges from neonate to geriatric
- Uses Canon CT system
- Schedule of 4x9-hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Backup call required every 9th weekend, with possible holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine, or diploma required
- 2+ years experience as a CT Technologist preferred
- Current advanced ARRT CT registration strongly preferred
- Current MA licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist required, if applicable
- BLS certification required
Additional Information
- Produces diagnostic images using CT equipment to assist in diagnosis of disease and injury
- Complies with all federal, state, and departmental regulations for radiation control
- Participates in annual education on dose optimization (Image Wisely and Image Gently) and safe operating procedures
- Documents patient medical information accurately and follows patient identification protocols
- May act as preceptor for new employees and train students, interns, and externs
- Assists in evaluation of new imaging equipment as needed
- Accepts local candidates at a discounted rate
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
