Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a multimodality X-Ray and CT role in an acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Multimodality tech position covering both X-Ray and CT in an acute care hospital setting
- 4x10 hour night shifts, Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend coverage required
- No on-call requirement
- No floating between units or sister facilities required
- Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (R), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required (license required if applicable)
- Epic experience required
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
- Skilled in abdomen/pelvis CT, head and neck CT, spine and musculoskeletal CT, chest and vascular chest CT (including PE, CTA, aorta)
- Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and PPE/isolation precautions
- Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest (ROI) measurement
- Experience with peripheral IV starts preferred
- Familiarity with Siemens CT equipment preferred
- Experience in vascular CTA special procedures
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings
- Support trauma head and musculoskeletal trauma imaging cases
- Scrub colors required are black and/or teal
- Free parking provided with pass distributed at start date
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on facility approval
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved at time of consideration
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September)
