Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position within an LTACH unit, requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and neuro experience.

Details

• Long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) ICU unit
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 13 to 26 week contract options
• On-call coverage after 5pm daily and weekends supported by rotating primary and backup call staff among 6-8 team members
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC state or compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• 1+ year of recent experience in the specific unit preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Experience with critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with arterial and central line management, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex ICU patients within an LTACH setting
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles and a 50+ mile minimum for certain specialties
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
