Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with at least 6 months of recent experience, ARDMS and RVT certification, and active CO licensure.
Details
- Ultrasound department in a 422-bed hospital
- Staff includes 3 general sonographers on day shift and 1 sonographer on night shift
- Equipment includes GE and Philips ultrasound systems
- Meditech EMR used
- 13-week assignment with 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts
- Call requirement of Saturdays 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a Q6 week rotation
- Typical caseload of 8-15 scans per 12-hour shift
- Typical procedures include abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds and lower extremity duplex studies (venous and arterial)
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of current Sonographer experience
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS and RVT certification required
- Active CO license required if applicable
- Neonatal head ultrasound experience preferred
- General Sonographer experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with RN and MD staff
- Strong hand-off practices with oncoming AM staff
