Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with at least 6 months of recent experience, ARDMS and RVT certification, and active CO licensure.

Details

• Ultrasound department in a 422-bed hospital
• Staff includes 3 general sonographers on day shift and 1 sonographer on night shift
• Equipment includes GE and Philips ultrasound systems
• Meditech EMR used
• 13-week assignment with 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts
• Call requirement of Saturdays 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a Q6 week rotation
• Typical caseload of 8-15 scans per 12-hour shift
• Typical procedures include abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds and lower extremity duplex studies (venous and arterial)

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of current Sonographer experience
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS and RVT certification required
• Active CO license required if applicable
• Neonatal head ultrasound experience preferred
• General Sonographer experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with RN and MD staff
• Strong hand-off practices with oncoming AM staff
