Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center offering fast-paced, high-acuity CT services and requiring ARRT-CT certification.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center with 492 beds, possibly converting to Level I
- Inpatient and outpatient adult population, with occasional pediatric patients in outpatient/ED settings
- Average patient ratio of 1:1, approximately 4 patients per hour (40 patients per day)
- Staffing includes 3-4 CT Techs on days, 2 on 2nd and 3rd shifts, and 2-3 CT Techs with an assistant on weekends
- Performs CT procedures including biopsy drainage, trauma, and required angiogram studies
- Stroke perfusion CT experience strongly preferred
- Uses GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR
- May float throughout the main Radiology department to different areas
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM starts (Sun-Tues), 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation typically once per month, subject to departmental needs
- On-call is voluntary
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- ARRT-CT certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with strong skill set; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
- Angiogram experience required
- Stroke perfusion CT experience strongly preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Orientation includes 1 eight-hour hospital orientation followed by 2-3 shifts on the unit shadowing another tech
- One major and one minor seasonal holiday coverage expected per policy, though specific dates off are not guaranteed prior to arrival
- RTO requests exceeding 7 days require manager approval via email and may require contract extension
- Scrubs may be any color
- Free parking provided
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Returning perm staff must wait 6 months before being considered for a travel assignment
