Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 2 trauma cardiac cath lab requiring RCIS or ARRT certification and 1+ years of experience.

Details

  • Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 procedure labs
  • Average of 4 cases per day
  • Patient population includes emergent revascularization, LHC, RHC, ATK peripheral diagnostic/interventional, cardioversion, TEE, device implants, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker cases
  • Uses EPIC and Philips Xper (Hemo) charting systems
  • Siemens C-Arm and equipment including IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold
  • Day shift schedule Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM plus call
  • Weeknight call 1-2 days per week (3:30 PM-7:00 AM)
  • Weekend call every third weekend (Friday-Monday morning, 24-hour call)
  • Holiday call rotation every other holiday
  • 20-minute call response time required
  • May float to Heart and Vascular Pre/Post areas as a helping hand
  • 24/7 in-house intensivist MD coverage
  • Charge role present on each shift

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • BLS certification required
  • RCIS certification required, or ARRT certification (must be registered with NDMIRT)
  • ND Rad Tech license required if credentialed as ARRT and responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy; not required if RCIS credentialed
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with panning and/or scrubbing procedures and IV starts
  • Familiarity with IABP, Impella, Shockwave (preferred), Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold preferred
  • EPIC and Philips Xper (Hemo) experience preferred
  • Must supply own radiation badge prior to start date
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include scrubbing in and/or panning procedures and performing IV starts
  • One week of unit-specific orientation including classroom and lab training
  • Scrubs provided
  • Team lead available to support scheduling and unit needs
  • Bring your own lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes
  • Schedules posted 17 days in advance for 6-week blocks
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and may not hold full time, part time, or PRN roles with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, during the assignment
