Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA licensure and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital network
• Night shift schedule, 1800 to 0630, working 36 or 48 hours per week per manager discretion
• Floating to ER and ICU may be required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the State of California required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• MICN certification desired to be completed within one year of hire
• MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• At least one year of RN experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT/ED Tech experience with a minimum of 2 years in good standing
• ER and ICU experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• No prior negative licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Emergency Department under the direction of the Director of Emergency Department
• Must comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, and repetitive hand motions required, along with occasional patient lifting and transferring
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local pay rates match travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
• Required vaccinations must be maintained as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
