Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift contract requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior OR experience.
Details
- Adult Operating Room within a hospital surgical department with 22 OR suites and a staff of 120
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 24-hour in-house coverage on days with an overnight in-house team
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Procedures include General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, GYN, GYN ONC, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Plastics, Burn, Urology, Podiatry, and Colo-Rectal
- Large robotics surgery program with robot experience preferred
- No floating required
- Rotating on-call requirement averaging two 8-hour shifts per month
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR nursing experience required
- Robot experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

- Hospital-provided scrubs required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
