Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with 3+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a fast-paced hospital unit.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 0645-1915
• No block scheduling; flexibility required
• Floating to Post-Partum unit required based on patient care needs
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips and C-Sections required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a unit with comparable volumes and acuity
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulating/scrubbing, and postpartum care
• Experience managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, and preterm labor

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
• Support high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and neonatal resuscitation as needed
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Assist with newborn care including APGAR scoring, cord care, and discharge teaching
• Maintain RTO of 5 days or less per assignment, with all time off requests disclosed prior to start
• Must be available to work at least 2 of 3 scheduled holidays
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local candidates
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
• Complete facility orientation modules, typically requiring 8-12 hours
