Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with Level 2 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience, including neuro embolizations and cerebral thrombectomies, for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a Level 2 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Day shift schedule, 5x7 hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm
• On-call required 2 days/week and every 4th weekend
• Hurricane sign-up required but not guaranteed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent IR experience required
• Minimum 2 years recent Critical Care experience required
• Experience with Neuro Vascular procedures, cerebral thrombectomies, and neuro embolizations required
• Experience with Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Biopsy Procedure Support, Trauma, and Peripheral Vascular Procedures required
• Skills required: procedure sedation administration/monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, radiation and laser safety, sheath removal/closure device monitoring, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Degree must be from an accredited school or an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)
• 2 years of recent acute care experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment prior to starting first shift

• Perform IR nursing care including procedure sedation, dysrhythmia management, and closure device monitoring
