Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Digestive Health Procedures unit position requiring IL RN licensure and prior sedation/procedural nursing experience.

Details

Digestive Health Center within a hospital setting
Provides care for patients undergoing digestive health procedures requiring sedation
Responsibilities include Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care and anesthesia assistance for CRNA-involved cases
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 9-hour shifts with a set day off
36 hours per week
Occasional weekend shift may be requested if needed
EPIC charting system used

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
ASN required, BSN preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

Prepares patients for procedures, completes assessments, reviews health history, initiates IVs, and provides patient education
Monitors and sedates patients during procedures
Delegates and supervises patient care using the nursing process
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates not accepted
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the health system
First-time travelers may be considered for this position
