Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Digestive Health Procedures unit position requiring IL RN licensure and prior sedation/procedural nursing experience.
Details
- Digestive Health Center within a hospital setting
- Provides care for patients undergoing digestive health procedures requiring sedation
- Responsibilities include Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care and anesthesia assistance for CRNA-involved cases
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 9-hour shifts with a set day off
- 36 hours per week
- Occasional weekend shift may be requested if needed
- EPIC charting system used
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Prepares patients for procedures, completes assessments, reviews health history, initiates IVs, and provides patient education
- Monitors and sedates patients during procedures
- Delegates and supervises patient care using the nursing process
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the health system
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
