Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN with current PICU experience and an OH or Compact RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- PICU unit within a pediatric hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Float requirement to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- Active OH State or Compact RN license required, in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required
- First-time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience and recent Level 1 trauma experience
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one manager or supervisor titled reference
- Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients
- Skilled in IV therapy including central line care, arterial line management, and administration of blood products
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity pediatric intensive care environment
- Floating to other units is a strong expectation and point of emphasis for this facility
- No call/no-show incidents are taken seriously and may result in warnings or termination
- Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the past 2 years
- No local candidates allowed within a 60-mile radius
