Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with active WA or Compact RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS certification for a 12-week assignment in Wenatchee, WA.
Details
- Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Day/evening shift schedule of 3x12s (0600-1900), 36 hours per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Required to float as a sitter
- May float between Mares and Central Campuses in rotation
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must adhere to facility policies and unit-specific standards of practice
- Must function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and stay current with legal aspects of nursing
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide compassionate, high-quality patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Perform ongoing holistic patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Evaluate and update discharge plans based on patient needs
- Document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
