Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Oncology RN for a 12-week day shift assignment requiring CA RN licensure, BSN, and prior pediatric oncology experience at a teaching hospital.

Details

• Pediatric Oncology unit within a teaching hospital medical center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Responsibilities include case management, patient care coordination, assisting providers with lab and results ordering, and triaging patient calls
• Uses Epic charting system
• May float to other facilities within the health system as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric oncology experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• APHON certification preferred
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, bone marrow transplant, and neutropenic precautions preferred

Additional Information

• Provides oncology nursing care including chemotherapy monitoring, symptom management, and neutropenic precautions
• May float to different departments, units, or facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no mid-contract RTO requests accepted; RTO not permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• Two professional references from the most recent employer required for consideration
