Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center night shift position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and EPIC proficiency.
Details
- High-acuity surgical trauma floor within a Level 1 trauma center
- Patient population includes surgical, gunshot, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients
- Patient ratio of 5:1
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- No block scheduling; must be willing to work assigned shifts
- Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Unit supported by Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and a night unit secretary
- Nurse handoff completed between ED nurse and admitting unit
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
- Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma hospitals required
- EPIC EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Deliver nursing care in a fast-paced, high-pressure Level 1 trauma environment
- No RTO permitted during contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate
