Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Ortho RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Ortho unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license (MT state or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Ortho specialty required
• Certifications must not expire prior to assignment start date
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Conduct health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic/restorative treatments
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
• Review and monitor treatment plans and document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
