Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a day-shift assignment.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient mammography setting
- Day shift, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Preferred experience with Epic charting system
- Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
- CA license required if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with digital quality assurance procedures preferred
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and universal precautions/core measures
- Ability to teach breast self-exams preferred
- Management or lead experience is a plus
Additional Information
- Performs breast imaging procedures including screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3-D mammography, and biopsy-related procedures
- Candidates must confirm any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem work
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- Former Providence staff may return as travelers after a 3-month break, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered local
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
