Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of X-Ray or CT experience and required ARRT R.T.(R)(CT) certification.
Details
- CT Tech unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 and 4x12 hours from 19:00-7:30, rotating 36/48 hours per two-week pay period
- Schedule alternates Thursday-Saturday and Wednesday-Saturday
- Float required within scope of practice
- Utilizes GE CT and PACS equipment
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, and cardiac CT studies including coronary CTA
- Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech or CT Tech required
- ARRT registered R.T.(R)(CT) certification required
- KBMIRT radiation operator's license (KY license) required if applicable
- AHA BLS certification required
- Experience with GE CT and Canon/Del Medical X-ray preferred
- Active Compact or State License in hand required at time of consideration
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case by case
- Driver's license required, address must match permanent address
- 2 professional references required within the last year, one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging procedures including contrast administration, radiation safety practices, and peripheral IV starts
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
- Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted
- Must work either a major or minor holiday shift during the assignment
- Travel pairs accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
- Returning travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after completing one year in the system before being eligible to return
- Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
