Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring critical care stepdown experience and a FL or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
• Care for critical care stepdown level patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Floating required to CV Stepdown and ICU South (used for PCU overflow)
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care/management
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Epic charting preferred; Cerner or Epic charting experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care stepdown experience required
• Current Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)
• Professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care within a stepdown/progressive care setting
• Isolation precautions and PPE use required
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days, with no time off requested during the first or last week of the assignment
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates with felony, misdemeanor, DUI/DWI, or controlled substance violations will not be accepted
