Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of cardiac experience and Cerner familiarity for a 13-week travel assignment in Hickory, NC.
Details
- Telemetry unit within a Medical Surgical Combination department at a 294-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
- 24-bed unit caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
- Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Requires work every other weekend
- 36 weekly guaranteed hours
- May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Associate's degree required
- Cerner experience required
- Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment experience required
- Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to a generalized cardiac patient population including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and cardiac catheterization pre/post care
- Family-oriented unit culture
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Must attend orientation on one of the facility's designated 2026 start dates
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
