Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of cardiac experience and Cerner familiarity for a 13-week travel assignment in Hickory, NC.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a Medical Surgical Combination department at a 294-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
• 24-bed unit caring for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Requires work every other weekend
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Cerner experience required
• Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment experience required
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a generalized cardiac patient population including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and cardiac catheterization pre/post care
• Family-oriented unit culture
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Must attend orientation on one of the facility's designated 2026 start dates
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
