Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit position requiring a compact or VA RN license and prior specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit of a hospital setting
- Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12 hour Night shifts from 07:00-19:00
- Float to Intermediate and MedSurg Units, with travelers floating first as needed
- Floating conducted in rotation with staff in accordance with unit floating policies and Joint Commission standards, including appropriate orientation to the new unit
Requirements
- Active Compact or VA RN license required in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- AHA and BLS certifications accepted
- Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
- Minimum 1 year experience in the unit specialty required, 2-3 years overall experience preferred
- BSN not required
- Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Nicotine-free campus
- Any color scrubs accepted with professional appearance, including child-friendly print tops and scrub/lab coats
- Biweekly orientation held on Mondays
- 8-10 hours of orientation and annual modules required, varying by specialty
- Expect to work some holidays in rotation with staff and as indicated in assignment confirmation
- RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with preference for no RTO during the first weeks of the assignment
- Must reside within a 60 mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates not accepted
- First time travelers not accepted
- Former Centra employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
