Description
American Traveler is seeking an ER RN with 5 years of experience and Trauma Level II experience for a hospital emergency department position requiring a CA RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- Trauma Level II emergency department experience required
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Epic charting system experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or ARC only)
- Minimum 5 years of ER nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II hospital experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
- Skilled in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
- Experience with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
- Knowledgeable in isolation precautions, PPE, and triage protocols
- Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks required
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a range of acute and critical patient presentations
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate consideration
- Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
