Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a Level II trauma center offering night shift hours and requiring 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Services department at a large acute care hospital with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and pediatric emergency services
- Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations across critical care and general units
- Patient ratios range from 10 to 25
- Uses GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Varying weekend requirement of at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating required to all critical care units and floors
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required; CRTs will not be considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NRP certification preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal service lines
- Work as part of a large respiratory therapy team of approximately 120 staff members
- Scrub color requirement: Medium Gray/Pewter
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
