Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry RN with 2 years of cardiac experience and a CO or Compact RN license for a night shift assignment.
Details
- 28-bed inpatient cardiac unit with med/surg overflow, treating cardiac/tele vascular patients, CABG patients 2-3 days post-op, cath lab patients, and TAVR patients
- Manages cardiac drips such as amiodarone, insulin, nitro, cardizem, and heparin
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00), various days of the week
- Weekend shifts required per unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 days and 1:5 nights, with flexibility to increase based on staffing needs
- Floating required to med/surg units and possibly to sister facilities based on facility needs
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior cardiac patient care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Comfortable working in environments with flexible/flexing nurse-to-patient ratios
Additional Information
- Provide care for cardiac telemetry patients including cardiac drip management, sheath removal, TR band application, and monitoring post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery patients
- Navy scrub color required
- Max 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with RTO restricted during select blackout periods in 2026
- No blocked scheduling requests permitted
- Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
