Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience along with an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 16-room LDRP unit with a C-section suite and PACU located on the L&D unit
• 4-bed Special Care Nursery on site
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Closed specialty unit with no float requirements outside the Family Center
• May float within the hospital

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Prior L&D experience required
• Prior mother/baby experience required

Additional Information

• Unit supported by preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation consultant staff
• Unit participates in ongoing process improvement initiatives including Eat, Sleep, Console program and statewide obstetrical care research
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees must have a 1-year break in service before returning
• Background checks will not accept DUI or DWI within the past year; other findings reviewed case by case
