Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/Extended Care unit requiring an active MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Long Term Care/Extended Care unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour variable shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Schedule starts on night shift in October, transitions to day shift in November, with flexibility to cover both shifts
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid through start date
• ASN or higher from an accredited nursing program required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Long Term Care/Extended Care specialty required
• Must be able to lift objects over 100 lbs and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and other physical demands
• Strong documentation, reading, and writing skills required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents
• Act as resident advocate, coordinating total care and supporting residents in achieving their highest practicable level of function
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate medical and nursing care plans
• Identify and document residents at risk for nutritional and functional decline, as well as signs of abuse or neglect
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate performance of assigned CNA staff
• Maintain working knowledge of CMS regulations and Medicare skilled/MDS criteria to ensure compliant documentation
• Provide resident and family education and coordinate discharge planning
• Background check and drug screen results required prior to start, with candidates expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
